In 2011, at the conclusion of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, Talani was commissioned by the committee in charge to create the bust of Giuseppe Garibaldi, whose image thus entered the Quirinale and the Senate of the Republic for the first time since the Unification of Italy.
