SAN VINCENZO FOR GIAMPAOLO TALANI
SUMMER 2018 NIGHTS ILLUMINATED BY THE MASTER'S WORKS.
30/06/2018 TO 30/09/2018
The town of San Vincenzo pays tribute to Giampaolo Talani, the recently deceased Tuscan master.
The municipal administration has in fact decided to dedicate the nights of summer 2018 to Giampaolo Talani, interpreting a shared feeling of gratitude and esteem of the entire community, which has suddenly been orphaned of the fellow citizen who most made San Vincenzo known to the general public.
The walls of the village will be illuminated by many paintings and graphic elaborations of the symbols dear to Talani, creating an architectural scenography of lights and colours that will narrate that poetic world that has made the Tuscan master's painting famous throughout the world.
"San Vincenzo for Giampaolo Talani", this is the title of the event that will be inaugurated on Saturday 30 June at 9.30 p.m. and that will be repeated every night until the end of September, transforming the town into a precious diffuse container of art.
Piazza della Chiesa, the entrance to the blue zone, the Palazzo Comunale, Piazza della Vittoria, the Port, the Tower with its square, the Vatican - in other words, the places most characteristic and dearest to the people of San Vincente, covering approximately 10,000 square metres. This is the luminous itinerary created by the avant-garde technologies used for the homage to Giampaolo Talani.
Sponsors of the project are the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Castagneto Carducci, which has enthusiastically embraced the initiative, and technical sponsor Carpitelli Umberto Impianti of San Vincenzo for the construction of the electrical systems essential for the completion of the project.
The project was carried out not only by the Municipality of San Vincenzo but also by the Giampaolo Talani Association; the technical part was entrusted to the Proietta company of Avigliana (TO), a leading company for light projections, which already last year found in Giampaolo Talani an enthusiastic partner and from whose collaboration the idea of artistic urban illuminations was born, an idea that has been replicated and shared in Italy and abroad.
