In 2011, to conclude the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, Talani was commissioned by the organizing Committee to make a bronze bust of Giuseppe Garibaldi. It was the first time since the Unification of Italy that Garibaldi’s portrait had been permanently exhibited at the Quirinal Palace and at the Italian Senate.
